This was actually based on a true story... I started to boil a pot of water for Ramen, threw a rag on the stove next to it, and walked off to play video games. A few minutes
later I said I smelled smoke, so me and Andrew walked into the kitchen and discovered the fire. We tried to put it out ourselves (mainly by standing there, looking around helplessly), but it was Anda and her amazing power of common sense that
defeated it.
We managed to escape its wrathful flames in the end... but only just.
And to those concerned for our safety, yes, we do have smoke alarms... it's just that the one in the kitchen is melted, because we put it on top of the toaster oven
instead of hanging it on the wall, like a less lazy person would. :D
